AuditSnap (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the AuditSnap mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide the core functionality of AuditSnap.a. Audit Data (User-Generated Content)
- Photos captured within the app
- Notes and site labels entered by users
- Inspection status, such as All Good, Needs Review, or Concern
- Timestamps associated with captured evidence
- Quick Proof photos and optional notes submitted for instant signed verification
b. Location Data
- GPS coordinates associated with captured photos
- Location accuracy metadata, if available
c. Device & Technical Data
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
- Basic diagnostic and crash data
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data strictly to:- Generate audit reports in PDF format
- Attach GPS verification to evidence
- Enable cryptographic signing of reports and Quick Proofs
- Create shareable, verifiable signed proof links for instant timestamped verification
- Improve app stability and performance
- Provide customer support
3. Data Storage
- Photos and audit data from the standard audit workflow are primarily stored locally on your device.
- When generating signed reports, a cryptographic hash of the report data may be sent to our backend for digital signing. No raw audit report photos are permanently stored on our servers.
- When using Quick Proof Capture, the photo you capture is uploaded to our secure cloud storage (AWS S3, served via CloudFront) to generate a publicly accessible verification link. This image is stored on our servers for up to 90 days and is reachable by anyone who has the verification URL. After 90 days, the image and its verification link are permanently deleted.
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate the app:a. RevenueCat
- Used for subscription management
- May collect anonymized purchase and device data
b. Firebase (Google)
- Used for crash reporting and analytics
- Helps us identify bugs and improve performance
c. AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Used for secure backend processing, including digital signing of reports and Quick Proofs
- Quick Proof images are stored in AWS S3 and delivered via Amazon CloudFront for public verification
5. Data Sharing
We do not:- Sell personal data
- Share user data with advertisers
- To provide core app functionality, such as the signing process
- Quick Proof images become publicly accessible via the verification URL when that link is shared. Only share Quick Proof links with parties you intend to grant access to the image.
- To comply with legal obligations
6. Data Retention
- Audit data remains on your device unless deleted by you.
- If you uninstall the app, local data may be removed.
- Standard audit report data is not retained long-term on our servers.
- Quick Proof images are automatically deleted from our cloud storage after 90 days. If you need earlier deletion, contact us at support@auditsnapapp.com.
7. Security
We implement reasonable safeguards including:- Secure transmission using HTTPS
- Cryptographic signing of reports using Ed25519
- Controlled backend access
8. Your Rights
You have full control over your data:- You can delete audit data directly within the app.
- You can uninstall the app to remove locally stored data.
- You may request early deletion of any Quick Proof image stored on our servers by contacting us.
- You may contact us for any privacy-related concerns.
